The college library was setup in 1971. Today it has more than 69,000 books with addition of e-resources as well. The growth of the library collections has been in tune with the growing needs of institution.

To include in collection development many fields of knowledge as well as of career and character building.
To provide quality services to faculty and students to support for achieving their curricular as well as co-curricular goals, with the help of technology, but not as a substitute for personal service.
To inculcate reading habit among students and to encourage collaborative efforts among library staff and students
Library Rules
To run an organization successfully & efficiently certain principles are
required. These rules & regulation are serve as a guide to the reader are also instrumental
in acquiring the readers as to kind of service which the library is capable of providing to
them.
All the students are hereby informed that the following rules are to be observed in the
library strictly.
General Rules
All students must make use of the library facility to enrich their academic
excellence.
Students should sitting in the library should sit in disciplined manner. Do not
sit in obscene posture in the library
Library has separate sitting arrangement for boys and girls and no student should
overrule this arrangement in any manner.
Only bonafide students are allowed to enter the college library on the strength of
a valid Identity Card, which must be produced as and when it is demanded by the
library staff or college teaching staff.
Complete silence must be maintained in & near the library. No discussion is
allowed in the library reading room.
Students should not bring Walkman or any electronic instruments and eatables
inside the library. Using the Cell Phone in the Library is strictly
prohibited.
All cases of the violation of rules will be reported to the Principal for suitable
action.
Readers shall be held responsible for any damage done to the book belongings to
the Library and Shall be required to replace such books or pay the value
thereof.

The borrower will be responsible for any loss or non-return of any
books issued against his / her I-identity card.
Students should check the books and periodicals for torn or damaged
pages before leaving the counter. Such pages should be immediately brought to the
notice of the counter staff. If any book or periodical is found to be damaged or
torn, the last student issuing the book or periodical will be held responsible.
The students can give recommendations for books for their study
purposes, any time during the academic year to the Librarian. If the books
recommended by students are available in the library ,then the information about
those books will be given to the student. If the book is not available in library
then we will try to purchase the same if funds are available for that subject and
the HOD of the subject permits so.
Infringement of the library rules will result in the withdrawal of
the library facility from the students.
In case of any difficulty readers can approach the Librarian.
Co-operation of the students is earnestly sought in observing the
rules.
Rules for Reading Room
Books will be issued for reading in the study room in the library on producing the Identity Card. Books are not to be taken out of the library on any account. Infringement of this rule will make the defaulter liable to an automatic forfeiture of the Identity Card.
At the time the book is issued for reading in the study room or for home reading, the student must satisfy himself / herself that the book is not damaged or that the pages are not missing or torn. If there is a damage or loss of pages or torn pages, it must be brought to the notice of the library staff. Otherwise they will be held responsible for any damage, loss, or torn pages.
Books damaged or lost or torn pages: - If the book is lost or damaged by the students or if the pages are missing from the book, the value of the book shall have to be paid at the current price. If the book is rare or out of print & the cost of the book is too low, amount decided by the Principal must be paid.
Bonafide students and the teaching staff can use the library. No Ex-student or no outsider will be allowed to use the library except by the approval of the Principal / Chairman.
Home Lending Faculities to the Staff of the College
The teaching staff are allowed to borrow 15 books.
Pure Reference books are meant exclusively for use in the library only, & the same cannot be issued for home lending except with the permission of Principal or Librarian for use of overnight only.
No latest issue of any periodical/ magazine/ newspaper can be issued for home lending. Only 02 back issues of any periodicals will be issued for home lending at a time for a week.
Teachers are requested not bring Walkman or any electronic instruments and eatables inside the library.
The staff of the college is also requested not to use cell phone when they are in the library, or keep it in silence mode and speak softly on the cell, in order to maintain silence.
All the books taken for home lending must be returned to the library before completion of every Academic Year i.e.30th April. Those who failed to returned all books , will not be allowed to take the books in next academic year.
If the book is lost or damaged by any staff member, the same must be replaced or the current price of the book must be paid. If the book is rare or out of print & the cost is too low, suitable amount decided by the Principal must be paid.
